City of Ada Expanding Opportunities for Community Donations

Ada, MN — The City of Ada is willing to help support your class trip or church group, if you’re willing to put in a little bit of work. With approval from the city council, the City of Ada can donate up to $500 for community projects and fundraisers for community needs from their gambling fund. But now they are looking to expand their ability to donate beyond just community projects. Ada City Administrator Ashley Larson says if the group or individual is willing to do some community service work, they may now be able to approve some donation requests that they weren’t able to before.

The maximum donation request in those situations is $300, which Larson adds is a pretty fair trade for five hours of community service.
