City of Brainerd Downtown Snow Removal
The City of Brainerd has declared a SNOW EMERGENCY effective Thursday, February 23, 2023. Snow removal in the Downtown Business District will take place as follows:
• Snow plowing will occur as able on Thursday during or shortly following the
heaviest of snowfall. Snow will be windrowed in the middle of the streets until
they are able to be removed on Friday.
• Street, sidewalk, and parking lot snow clearing and removal will commence at
3:00 a.m. on Friday, February 24, 2023.
• Beginning at 3:00 a.m. on Friday, February 24, 2023, parking will be banned on
the following streets:
o Front Street from South 6th Street to South 8th Street
o Laurel Street from South 6th Street to South 8th Street
o South 7th Street from Maple Street to Front Street
Generally, the snow removal on Thursday will take place beginning on the streets and sidewalks first, followed by the parking lots.
Parking is banned on streets until they have been plowed in their entirety and the snow has been removed. Once snow has been removed from the block, vehicles can utilize the on-street parking. All vehicles parked during this restriction will be ticketed and towed at the Owner’s expense.
