City of Fosston Awarded nearly One Million Dollars in BDPI Grants

City Administrator Cassie Heide has recently aided Fosston in yet another grant award. This grant awards Fosston $960,460 from DEED’s Greater Minnesota Business Developmental Public Infrastructure Grant Program (BDPI). The grant will help with construction needs regarding streets and utilities in the industrial park. The city estimates up to 40 million in private business investments and up to 100 new jobs created in the area. One business has already committed to the park with a 20 million investment and will initially create 20 new jobs. Cassie Heide has been writing grants for the city of Fosston since 2018 and has personally helped provide 9 Million dollars in grant support for the area.
