City of Fosston Meets to Discuss OB Needs

The City of Fosston is planning a meeting in regards to Rural Healthcare and OB within Essentia. City Administrator Cassie Heide explains the city’s role in bringing OB back to the Fosston community and their vision in ensuring CORE services remain in Fosston.

After forming of the task force in 2022 the group met with Essentia West executives. After been given multiple start dates with no action to follow, the city and task forces have become skeptical of Essentia’s true intentions of restarting OB in Fosston. Cassie explains more:

The City of Fosston has initiated the dispute process as called out in the 2009 agreement. Part of the process requires informal meetings on the subject. On September 19th the city will be hosting a meeting for the public on this matter at New Journey Church at 5:00. The public is strongly encouraged to attend and to wear their WE ARE FOSSTON shirts in support.
