City of Hitterdal holds Ribbon Cutting for final stage of solar project 

The CIty of Hitterdal held a ribbon cutting ceremony for their municipal solar power project on Thursday afternoon. R&J news attended the event and caught up with Mayor Gayle Holte, who says he’s very excited to be putting the final touches on this three stage project. 

Griffen Peck of the West Central Initiative talks more about his organization’s role in the project, and bringing solar to Hitterdal. 

Peck says the West Central Initiative has helped a plethora of local communities adopt solar energy programs. 

Peck says communities who are taking advantage of these solar opportunities are seeing some significant savings. Whether they’re a bigger city or a small town.
