City of Mahnomen Hosting Community Meeting as Part of Comprehensive Plan Process
Mahnomen, MN — The City of Mahnomen is continuing on the process of updating their City Comprehensive Plan and will be hosting a community meeting next week to discuss their progress and what’s next. Mahnomen City Administrator Kari Kirschbaum says it’s a great way for community members to provide input on the direction of the city.
The city of Mahnomen also recently sent out surveys to community members to gather feedback on what they feel the city is doing well with or needs improvement. Administrator Kirschbaum talks about some of the results of those surveys.
Another common trend of the survey responses was that community members clearly felt the drug problems in the city needed to be addressed and that their parks were lacking as well.
The community meeting to discuss the state of the city and thoughts about the future is scheduled for Wednesday, May 4th at 5:30pm at the Mahnomen Fire Hall meeting room.
