City of Pierz Council meeting from August 8th

(Pierz, MN) — The City of Pierz held their regular meeting Monday, August 8th with discussion taking place on City purchases and city alert system.

In our update with Pierz Mayor Dave Fisher, the City of Pierz did approve a donation for the annual Oktoberfest event later this month.

The City of Pierz finalized their decision in purchasing the gravel pit with City funds after being denied grant funding.

Needed City equipment and its purchase did not have much movement following the meeting.

Mayor Fisher also elaborated on the City’s alert system and comments from residents that are not signed up for the service.

Fisher did mention that Pierz residents can sign up for the alert system by visiting City Hall during regular business hours.

The Pierz City Council will meet again on Monday, August 22nd at 7pm at City Hall.
