Crash Near Detroit Lakes Involving Buggy

On October 1, 2026, at approximately 6:37 PM, the Becker County Sheriff’s

Office received a report of a truck colliding with a horse drawn buggy on Co. Rd.

122, approximately one-quarter mile east of the intersection of 410th Avenue.

A truck, driven by Cory Holmer, age 39, of Detroit Lakes was traveling west on

Co. Rd. 122, when it collided with a horse drawn buggy operated by Ervin Miller,

age 23, of Frazee.

 The buggy, also traveling west, had three additional occupants including Sylvia Miller, age 23, a toddler, and an infant, all of Frazee.

All occupants of the buggy sustained injuries and were transported for medical

care. Their conditions are currently unknown. The driver of the truck was not

Injured.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Frazee Police Department, Frazee

Rescue, Frazee Fire Department, MN State Patrol, MN DNR Conservation,

Essentia-St. Mary’s EMS, and Life Link Air Care.

No alcohol or drugs are suspected. The cause of the incident remains under

investigation.
