CROOKSTON, MN—A corrections officer at the Northwest Regional Corrections Center in Crookston is accused of sexually assaulting two female inmates.  According to a criminal complaint in Polk County District Court, 47-year-old Irving Emmanuel Jacobo Bravo is charged with two felony counts of third degree criminal sexual contact involving a prohibited occupational relationship. An investigator from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office was called on September 11 when two women reported Bravo had been engaging in sex with them for several weeks.  Bravo allegedly brought those inmates tobacco and chocolate and used his position to begin the contact.  Both women underwent sexual assault exams and DNA matching Bravo’s was found on both tests.  Each count of third degree criminal sexual contact carries a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison, a $30,000 fine or both.
