Crosby City Council to discuss bicycles on downtown sidewalks at March 14th meeting

(Crosby, MN) — The Crosby City Council meeting Monday night will open up the on-going topic of the use of bicycles on city sidewalks in the downtown area and review requests from City Departments from the City Hall Council Chambers.
The Council will take into review applications for the Fire Department Auxiliary for the 4th of July Raffle and November 19th Turkey Bingo and Raffle, give approval for the hiring of two part-time seasonal laborers for the Public Works Department and two interns for the Library and Hallett Center, approve the annual renewal of licenses for Refuse Haulers, and a special event permit for Spalding July 3rd street dance.
Unfinished Business will feature consideration of an ordinance establishing regulation for the use of bicycles in the downtown area.
New Business includes considering approval of invoice from Ziegler for work completed on the Public Works loader, approve an estimate from Freightliner/Momentum Truck Group for rear end repair to the Freightliner dump truck, consider approving a 3.2% liquor license for Miner’s Inc/Super One for change of location, and consider approving resolutions for supporting the community impact funds request for policy conversion with Region 5 agencies, and authorizing the City of Crosby to make application to and accept funds from the IRRR.
The Crosby City Council meets at 6pm Monday, March 14th from the City Hall Council Chambers.
