Crow Wing County disposal guides are out; coupons and info available

(Brainerd, MN) — The Crow Wing County disposal guide has been sent to all county property owners to cover hours of operation, what items are accepted at the landfill, fee schedule, recycling and household hazardous waste programs, and includes a $10 coupon.
Crow Wing County sponsors three recycling drop sites that are available for use to all County residents, plus in the cities of Brainerd, Baxter, Pequot Lakes, Crosslake, and Ironton curbside recycling services are offered to their clients.

- Ideal Township Transfer Stations – 33503 West Island Lake Drive, Pequot Lakes
- City of Nisswa – 25636 Main St, Nisswa
The coupons included in the disposal guide are limited to one coupon per load, no change will be given, customer is responsible for paying the required special waste tax on applicable items, coupon is not redeemable for cash, and cannot be applied to payments on charge accounts.
In 2022, commercial recycling represented 85% of all county recycling at 41,625 tons and residential recycling represented 15% of total recycling at 7,157 tons. Local businesses and local waste haulers have also made an effort to capture recyclable materials and keep them out of the landfill.
