Doug Burgum Announces 2024 Presidential Run

North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum announced on Tuesday, June 7, that he will be running for president in the 2024 presidential election. Burgum announced his candidacy in a Washington Post op-ed and named economics as the main reason for him running. 

Burgum joins the growing list of Republican candidates running for president in 2024 that includes former President Donald Trump, Florida Governor Ron Desantis, and former Vice President Mike Pence.
