Election Day Reminders and Tips

Election Day is Tuesday November 3rd. Voting places will all be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. We had Joan Nelson, auditor in the tax department in Koochiching County, answer common questions about the election.

Go to the Secretary of State’s website to check if you are registered at sos.mn.gov. For people looking to register to vote at the polls, here are some items to bring that prove residency.

If you aren’t sure which polling place to head to, the secretary of state’s website also has a polling place finder that includes a map and sample ballot. Remember, people must vote at their correct polling place; everyone in line to vote by 8 p.m. on November 3rd will be allowed to vote.
