Emmy Award winning director speaks to local students and residents
On Thursday, students at Ada Borup West, and residents at Benedictine Living Community got a history lesson from Emmy Award Winning Director Art Phillips, on his Documentary called “The Road to Little Rock”. Phillips tells us more about his film, which tells the story of one of the most important events in American History, and how a Fargo native was in the middle of it.
Phillips tells us why he thought it was important to tell the story of Judge Davies’ involvement in the case, and he also tells us more about the production of the film, and the historical figures who make appearances.
Phillips also explained why it was important for him to travel around and tell this story to children in elementary schools, like he did at Ada Borup West on Thursday.
