Ada-Borup-West 61 Mahnomen-Waubun 58

The Ada Borup-West Cougars controlled the boards and hit timely shots to pick up their 5th win of the season 61-58 over Mahnomen Waubun.  The Thunderbirds led early only to see the Cougars go on little runs to take the lead midway through the first half building an 8 point lead.  The Thunderbirds would hit some shots before the half to cut the lead to 5 with the Cougars leading 31-26.  The 2nd half would see much of the same until the midway point where Mahnomen Waubun would tie the game at 45.  From there it would be back and forth with lead changes and ties.  The Cougars would continue to control the rebounds which would lead them to hang on for the win.  The Cougars are now 5-11 while Mahnomen Waubun drops to 8-9.
