Ada-Borup-West played a strong first half to lead Fertile-Beltrami 27-19 at halftime.  The Cougars led by as much as 11 in the first half with the team attacking the basket, rebounding, and good defense.  For the Cougars, the halftime intermission led to Fertile-Beltrami discussing the rebounding ( Ada- Borup-West out rebounded the Falcons 20-13 with 9 offensive rebounds) and the experienced group believing shots would start to be made.  That belief became reality, Fertile-Beltrami connected on five consecutive 3-point field goals to begin the second half and an overall 21-3 run in the opening  4:27 of the second half to lead 40-30.  Fertile-Beltrami made nine 3-point field goals in the second half, and 11 for the game.  The Cougars got no closer on the scoreboard in the second half  as Fertile-Beltrami won their 12th straight game, now 14-2 on the year.  Ada-Borup-West lost for the fourth consecutive game, now 4-10.  Fertile-Beltrami plays Clearbrook-Gonvick Tuesday night. Ada-Borup-West plays at Crookston Tuesday.
