CLEARBROOK, MN – The Lake of the Woods Bears improved to (5-12) with their Friday afternoon 58-47 win over the Clearbrook-Gonvick Bears (2-17).

Led by senior Elsie Rose Dahl, the Lake of the Woods Bears were able to build upon a five point halftime lead in the second half by creating turnovers and transition offense. Lake of the Woods senior McKenzie Pieper tied Dahl for a team-high with 13 points, as well as had a trifecta of three-point shots made.

For Clearbrook-Gonvick, sophomore Allison LaVine and freshman Jacie Bergerson tied the team lead with ten points each. Junior McKenna Hartwig scored nine points, including seven in the second half, after picking up three fouls in the first six minutes of the afternoon matchup.
