TWIN VALLEY, MN – After winning on the road 66-62 over the Mahnomen-Waubun Thunderbirds earlier this season, Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdahl Titans were able to survive the late game comeback by the Thunderbirds and secure the victory in overtime, 78-72.

Titans junior Jerran Madson led the team in scoring with 19 points and crashed the boards to secure plenty of rebounds throughout the night. Senior Sophia Lien was not far behind with 17 points of her own while orchestrating the Titans offense. Juniors Izzy Klemetson and Raegan Oberg had 14 and 11 points respectively.

For the Thunderbirds, Kendra Syverson led all scorers with 24 points before fouling out in overtime. Two sophomores off the bench, Brynn McArthur and Savanah Keezer both had ten points. Neveah Williams delivered in the clutch late with the game-tying layup to send the game into overtime.
