The Mahnomen Waubun Thunderbirds used a tight defense to force New York Mills into several turnovers, and limited their shots to come away with a 66-17 win.  The Thunderbirds were able to use the NYM turnovers to result in fast break points to cruise to the win and move to 2-0 on the season while NYM falls to 0-2.
