Thief River Falls 59 Ada-Borup-West 51 OT

The girls basketball season began with extra playing time when Thief River Falls and Ada-Borup-West played overtime Tuesday night before the visiting Prowlers won 59-51.  The lady Cougars led for less than 1 minute of the game, taking their first lead 45-44, then with the game tied at 45-45, the Cougars Izzy Marcussen made a three point field goal for a 48-45 lead. The Prowlers Mara Espe immediately responded with her made 3-pointer to tie the game at 48.  The two teams were tied again at 49 and ended regulation tied at 51-51.    Thief River Falls controlled the overtime outscoring the lady Cougars 8-0 to win the season opener.
