Family Fun Activities Make Up This Week’s Ulen Days!
Ulen, MN — The event formerly known as Ulen Turkey BBQ Days is back again this weekend. Having reinvented itself with the new name in 2021, Ulen Days will be held August 18th through the 22nd with a number of family focused events and in fact, it kicks of this Thursday, August 18th with their Family Fun Night. Sarah Rihkus with the Ulen Civic and Commerce says they will be grilling up food and hosting a number of unique, old timey events for kids and their parents.
Friday during the day you can support Titan Athletics during their annual Golf Scramble at the Sandhill Golf Course in Fertile, but that evening there are more great activities for families. Rihkus says they will be hosting an around-town scavenger hunt, teen dance, and a slow bike race.
Ulen Days continues on Saturday with an alumni baseball game at 9am, vendor show at the Ulen Events Center from 9 until 1, car show and beer garden starting at 10am on NP Avenue, parade at 11am, inflatable games from noon to 3pm, bike drawing at 12:30pm, kickball tournament at 1pm, and Bingo at 1:30pm at the Events Center. And while there won’t be any turkey, Rihkus says festival goers will have a number of delicious options to choose from.
Also on Saturday, the Nordic Lounge is hosting a bean bag tournament at 3pm and a street dance from 9-1 featuring October Road. Sunday all welcome to attend the once-annual church service at Atlanta Church at 10:30am.
