Fertile-Beltrami School Board News & Notes from January 10th Meeting
Fertile, MN — The Fertile-Beltrami School Board held their first regular monthly meeting of the 2023 year on Tuesday night, January 10th. Included in that was their annual reorganizational meeting where the board appointed officers, set committees, and made the usual designations, according to Fertile-Beltrami Superintendent Brian Clarke.
Another usual action item for this time of year is for the board to pass a resolution giving the ability for administration to make cuts if need be. However, Superintendent Clarke says they were confident enough in their financial situation that they chose to not act on it.
The Fertile-Beltrami School Board also accepted a $1000 donation from Wild Rice Electric, which Clarke says will be used to help with lunch accounts.
And the board is planning on hosting another meeting in a couple weeks to discuss a potential west-entrance security update.
Again, that meeting is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, January 24th.
