Fertile Candidate Forum

FERTILE, MN—Fertile residents heard from the candidates for Mayor and City Council at a public forum Wednesday night.  One question asked was how the City should deal with running the city-owned Fair Meadow Nursing Home.  This was Mayor Dan Wilkens’ response:

Another mayoral candidate, Brian Nephew, gave this answer:

The third candidate for Mayor of Fertile, Todd Peterson, suggested using the Fair Meadow Advisory Board.

The three candidates for two seats on the Fertile City Council were asked the same question.  Candidate Mark Sandness had a short answer.

John Walters, another council candidate, had this response.

Incumbent Council member Amanda Bosman admitted the Fair Meadow issue is complicated.
