Fertile City Council News & Notes from September 12th Meeting
Fertile, MN — The Fertile City Council held their regular monthly meeting on Monday, September 12th at Fertile City Hall. The council, which has been shorthanded for the last several months, swore in its newest councilmember. Fertile City Administrator Lisa Liden says they welcomed Amanda Bosman, who recently filed to run for the seat in this fall’s election.
Bosman is running unopposed for that council seat.
The council also held a special public hearing this week to discuss shift differential pay for their Fair Meadow Nursing Home Staff, which Liden says they later approved to continue to be competitive when it comes to pay.
And the council had some discussion about potentially expanding their water offerings to homes west of town.
The Fertile City Council approved setting their preliminary 2023 levy at just under 5% and approved a temporary liquor license for the Fertile Fire Department.
