Fertile City Council Recap
Fertile, MN — The Fertile City Council held their regular monthly meeting on Monday night, August 8th at Fertile City Hall. The council recently got back some estimates on their proposed Community Center remodel project. Fertile City Administrator Lisa Liden says there going to check back with their engineers as some of the costs were drastically higher than anticipated.
The City of Fertile is also looking at making some improvements to the Learning Center west of town. To aide that process is along, Liden says they are forming a committee to work on plans.
With the Public Works crew in the market for a new batwing mower, the Fertile City Council gave them permission to purchase one when the right one comes up on the market.
And the council moved forward with establishing a water infrastructure reserve fund, which Liden says is a requirement of one of their recent infrastructure project grants.
The Fertile City Council also agreed to put a pickup and older tractor on an upcoming auction.
