Former Ada, Crookston Teacher Ardell Knudsvig Dies

CROOKSTON, MN—A member of the Ada Borup West Hall of Fame has died.  Helmer Ardell Knudsvig passed away August 31 at the age of 86.  Knudsvig taught and coached at Ada High School from 1960 to 1975.  He then taught in Crookston from 1975 until his retirement in 1998.  He coached wrestling at both Ada and Crookston and also coached Crookston’s girls tennis team.  Knudsvig recently received the Minnesota Pioneer Wrestling Coaches Hall of Fame award for starting the wrestling program at Ada.  Ardell Knudsvig….dead at the age of 86.
