Fort Frances Terry Fox Run – From Local to National

Fort Frances is preparing for their annual Terry Fox marathon Run, and we talked to Laura Bruyere whom is a chairperson/site organizer for the event about what it is.

And the Terry Fox run has been an event for quite some time.

So who was Terry Fox, and how did this run become an annual event?

Laura Bruyere makes sure to inform us of where any and all sign-up information can be found.

This is a huge fundraiser for cancer studies, hence the reason it became a national event, that brings in lots of money for its cause. Even despite attendance having dwindled since the Covid-19 quarantine.

Laura was then asked if she herself ever ran in the Terry Fox run.

So how long has she been involved as a chairperson?

This event is an all inclusive run that Laura encourages everyone to help its cause.

She even reminds us of how to get involved and donate.

You heard it from her, the Terry Fox Run will be held at the Sorting Gap Arena on Sunday Sept. 15th with on-site registration beginning at 1pm. The run will start at 2pm.
