Fosston City Council Meets

FOSSTON, MN—

The Fosston City Council has a new member.  At Tuesday night’s meeting, Brandon LaPier resigned his council position because he is moving outside the Fosston City limits.  And the Council appointed Abby Pearson to fill the rest of LaPier’s term, which ends at the end of this year.

Also at Tuesday’s meeting, Fosston City Administrator Cassie Heide revealed that the financial numbers for Essentia Health-Fosston were in very good health–with the hospital ending December $81,000 in the black and Essentia Health-Fosston also having a higher profit margin than other hospitals in the area.

Also, Fosston Police Chief Jim Juve reported that a vehicle theft was averted…and that’s a reminder for people to lock their vehicles.
