Fosston City Council Welcomes New Police Sargent
Fosston, MN — The Fosston City Council held their regular monthly meeting last Monday where they got an update on city projects and welcomed a new police officer to the force. The council was happy to swear in Sargent James Juve to their police department. Fosston Administrator Cassie Heide says Sgt. Juve brings with him three decades of law enforcement experience from Polk County.
The Fosston City Council also last week joined many other communities by passing a resolution urging the state legislature to hold a special session.
And Administrator Heide reported that the Highway 2 project is wrapping up in town, but there is still work being done in and around city limits.
There’s a number of other city project in the works too, according to Heide, including a some sidewalk replacements, minor street work, and updates at the Veterans Park.
The Fosston City Council will meet next for a special budgeting session on September 26th.
