Fosston residents voice concerns over proposed stoplight removal to MNDOT
The Minnesota Department of Transportation held a public hearing in Fosston on Monday, to discuss a construction project on Highway 2, which goes right through the City of Fosston. The meeting was well attended by community members, who raised concerns about MNDOT’s plan to remove a stoplight on Highway 2 near the Fosston High School. Fosston City Administrator Cassie Heide tells us more about Monday’s hearing, and the concerns brought forward by the community.
Heide also feels like the discussions the community had with MNDOT representatives also went well, and she shares some takeaways from those discussions.
Heide says that while the City of Fosston remains against the stop light removal plans of the project, she did clarify that there’s much more to the project that the city is in support of.
