Superintendent Sue Chase recapped a very busy March Fosston School Board meeting on our Food For Thought program last week. Chase spoke about the board’s approval of their revised budget.

Student leaders at Magelssen Elementary reported to the board about a recently held fundraiser. They also have a school supply drive coming up in April.

In his report to the board, Fosston High School principal Dominic Krump outlined the vaping education program that’s in place in the high school.

The Fosston School Board and the Transportation Committee have been working together to find solutions to the ongoing transportation issues. Superintendent Chase says they will be able to run 8 routes next year.

Fosston School Board is welcoming back a former employee. Deb Pfifer is coming out of retirement and will be a long term substitute teacher. Meanwhile, the School Board accepted a letter of retirement from Melissa Kennedy. She was the Food Service secretary as well as the secretary of the Early Childhood program.

Some upcoming dates to put on your calendar: prom is May 7th and graduation is set for May 27th at 7:00 pm.
