Fosston School Board News & Notes
Fosston, MN — The Fosston School Board took care of a number of personnel items at this month’s regular meeting. Much of the new hires were paraprofessionals and support staff positions, according to Fosston Superintendent Todd Selk. He notes that the Fosston School District is actually fully staffed heading into the school year, which is a rarity for most area districts.
A new sports co-op was formed during this month’s Fosston School Board meeting as well. With the Crookston swim team down to only a handful of athletes, Superintendent Selk says the board gave the green light to form a new co-op that would allow them to join their current pairing with Bagley.
All practices and home meets will still be held at their home location in Fosston with the exception of one meet in Crookston.
The school board also approved some new policies as well, which Selk says was in relation to some of the new laws passed by legislature.
And some new upgrades have been made the Fosston High School gym over the summer. Superintendent Selk reported that they resurfaced the floor and put in an all-new score board as well.
