Fosston School Board News & Notes

Fosston, MN — Fosston School Superintendent Todd Selk joined KKCQ Radio this past month to recap the most recent Fosston School Board meeting. At the meeting, the board approved the decision to go ahead with creating a Transportation Director Position. The position was talked about last year, but never moved forward due to the change in administration. Superintendent Selk says by hiring a Transportation Director, it would provide a new leadership role and streamline their transportation decisions and needs.

The Fosston School Board also accepted the retirement of long-time HR & Administrative Support staff member Tina Averill.

The board canvassed the results from this past month’s election as well, which included a write-in candidate.

And Superintendent Selk shared some updates on enrollment. While the elementary remains stable and up from the beginning of the year, the high school is seeing a shuffle of students amongst the Highway 2 corridor.

The Fosston School Board also approved their winter coaching assignments.
