Galesburg Park Committee Hosting Annual Pork Butt Cook Off and Supper

A Southern Traill County Community has an event this weekend sure to tantalize your taste buds. The Galesburg Park Committee is hosting their annual Pork Butt Cook Off and Supper today. Committee Spokesperson, Casey Eggermont tells R&J News that there are ten contestants this year competing for the top prizes.

Eggermont explains how the group and this event all got started.

The supper runs from 5:30-7:30pm with awards at 6:30. There will also be a ribbon cutting for the new playground at 4:15. Other events throughout the afternoon include: a car show with four classes, bouncy houses, a cornhole tournament and kickball game.
