Gift of Life Transplant House offering a 2nd home to transplant patients
Travel can often be a difficult hurdle for transplant patients, and the Gift of Life Transplant House in Rochester Minnesota is doing what they can to help patients overcome that hurdle. Gift of Life Executive Director Mary Wilder tells us more about her organization and their mission.
Wilder says the main focus of Gift of Life is to help Mayo Clinic transplant patients recover faster, by giving them a comfortable second home. Wilder explains what kind of services they offer and don’t offer that helps them do this.
To stay at the Gift of Life Transplant House you do have to meet some minimal requirements, which Wilder tells us more about.
With just 30 percent of the house’s funding coming from the $30 a night charge, Wilder says Gift of Life does rely heavily on donations, and she explains how you can show your support.
