Green elected to Minnesota Senate
State Representative Steve Green was elected to the Minnesota State Senate on Tuesday. The Republican defeated DFL challenger Alan Roy 60 percent to 40 percent on Election Day. Green talked about this year’s campaign.
Green talked about what he’s most looking forward to when the Senate begins its new session.
When Green takes his oath of office, he’ll be part of the minority party in the Minnesota Senate. The DFL took control of the Senate and House in Tuesday’s election. With Democrat Governor Tim Walz being re-elected, Democrats have full control of Minnesota State government for the first time in eight years.
