Halstad Business League Hosting Sugar Fest this Saturday
Halstad, MN — The Halstad Business League will be hosting their annual Sugar Fest this Saturday, September 17th and it’s going to be “Too Sweet to Beet.” Sugar Fest is now in its 2nd year paying homage to the local sugar beet industry and their famous attraction of the World’s Largest Sugar Beet. With activities for all interests and ages planned throughout the day, Bjorn Solberg of the Halstad Business League says it provides some great opportunities to have some fun before the madness of the fall harvest takes over.
Activities and events during this Saturday’s Sugar Fest include a 5K, Lions Breakfast, vendor fair, bouncy houses, games at the Landmark, BBQ contest and meal, citywide rummage sale, cornhole tournament, street dance, and more, according to Solberg.
The Firefrost ATV Club will also be hosting an ATV ride starting from the Zone 75 at 3pm along with an outdoor drive-in movie at the Halstad LRC around 8pm.
In keeping with the sugar beet theme, Sugar Fest will also include a Sugar Beet contest and Sugar and Sweet Bake Off.
