Halstad Business League Hosting Volleyball Tournament to Raise Money for Old School
Halstad, MN — The Halstad Business League is looking to “heat up” the old high school gym this Saturday, March 19th with an Adult Co-ed Volleyball Tournament. The tournament is full with 8 teams featuring competitors from all around Norman County. It’s also open to the public to come and watch and cheer on your favorite team. Emily Finney of the Halstad Business League says it’s also a good opportunity to learn about the future plans for the old high school and support the upkeep and upgrading of the facility.
The City of Halstad purchased the school last summer for a $1. Funds from this weekend’s volleyball tournament will go toward heating the building as well as purchasing new cardio and weightlifting equipment. Finney says memberships are available to anyone in the community who would like to use their fitness equipment or gym.
The Volleyball tournament will start at 10am on Saturday and go until about 3pm. For those attending, please use the back doors on the parking lot side of the building.
