Hawkinson to become new CRMC Facilities Manager

(Crosby, MN) — Kyler Hawkinson of Deerwood on August 8 will become Cuyuna Regional Medical Center’s Facilities Department Manager to coordinate day-to-day facilities operations, assist with utility management and construction projects, and quality and safety measures.

In his new position, Hawkinson will lead and direct the functions of the Facilities Department for all of CRMC’s facilities in Crosby, Baxter, Breezy Point, and Longville. He will be responsible for infrastructure and utility management, regulatory compliance, and financial oversight all while enhancing the quality of life, aesthetics, safety, and comfort of the facilities.

Hawkinson has worked at CRMC as a HVAC Engineer II since 2020 and previously held the position from 2012 to 2014. He also has eight years’ experience working in the plumbing, pipefitting, and HVAC industry.

The manager holds an Associates of Applied Science Degree in HVAC System Servicing Program from Dunwoody College of Technology in Minneapolis. Hawkinson also holds certification from the State of Minnesota as HPP Journeyworker Pipefitter, Plumber, and 2nd Class C Engineer. In addition, he is certified for Gas Furnaces by North American Technician Excellence, EPA certified by ESCO Institute, and is a certified Niron Welder by NUPI Americas Inc. Hawkinson also holds certifications as Benchmark of Excellence for Commercial Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, and Electrical, all from HVAC Excellence.
