Hillsboro Business Association Hosting Holiday Fun Friday and Saturday

If the decorations around Hillsboro haven’t put you in the holiday spirit yet, several events this weekend should do the trick. The Hillsboro Business Association is hosting their Winter Wonderland event tomorrow and Saturday.

The events kick off tomorrow night with the Light Parade at 5:30. HBA President J R Strom says the route will be familiar for spectators.

Friday’s events continue with the tree lighting ceremony at 6 followed by fire pits and smores until 7, all at Railroad Park. Strom highlights some of the events scheduled for Saturday.

Strom says, as is the case with any community event, there’s plenty of community support needed to make these events happen.

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 8TH

5:30PM-Light Parade From Hillsboro Events Center to Railroad Park

6PM-City Tree Lighting By Santa at Railroad Park

6-7PM-Fire Pits and Smores at Railroad Park

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 9TH

9AM-12PM: Pictures With Santa at Hillsboro Cafe (Crafts at Cafe assisted by Hillsboro FCCLA); Story Time and Cocoa with Mrs. Claus at 3R Floral; Cookie Decorating at Sundae Brew

11AM-2PM: Mini Mall at Hillsboro Community Center (Cash Only-All items $10 and under, FCCLA wrapping gifts for kids, soup for purchase by 4H)

1-3PM: Christmas Crafts for Kids at Plummer House Museum (Cider and Coffee available)
