Hillsboro City Commission Discusses Fiscal Responsibility
Hillsboro, ND — The Hillsboro City Commission held their regular monthly meeting on Monday, October 17th where they continued to discuss their fiscal responsibility and how to tighten their budgets. Hillsboro Commission President Levi Reese presented an initiative geared at limiting their spending and getting their finances back on track.
Reese adds that the city overall is still OK financially, but they want to get ahold of current spending soon before committing to future projects.
The Hillsboro City Commission also agreed to hire a part time employee for city hall with one of their current staff members expected to be out for a while.
Also, Reese reminds Hillsboro residents that if they have concerns or questions that they don’t have to wait until commission meetings to bring them up and shouldn’t be afraid to reach out to department heads or commissioners at any time.
