Hillsboro City Commission News & Notes from May 16th Meeting

Hillsboro, ND — The Hillsboro City Commission held their 2nd regular monthly meeting on Monday night, May 16th at the Main Street Community Center. At the meeting, the commission discussed the proposed city-wide street paving project. Hillsboro City Commission President Terry Sando says residents should be receiving maps and information in the mail shortly.

President Sando notes that under commissioner reports, there was an update on some of the impacts of recent flooding and also some good news in regards to a recent donation to the Hillsboro Pool.

The Hillsboro City Commission is also in the process of updating their building permit process and they took their first steps towards implementing the new policy this week.

Also in relation to planning and zoning, the commission approved the first reading for a rezoning of a section of the Riverwalk addition to allow for a 24 unit apartment complex and approved the route for the Hillsboro Running Club’s 5K during Hillsboro Days.
