Hillsboro School Board Member Resigns

HILLSBORO, ND—At the recent Hillsboro School Board meeting, the Board had to replace one of its members.  Bill Cotton resigned from the Board; he had surgery for a brain tumor in early April.  Hillsboro Superintendent Jon Dryburgh tells us more.

Dryburgh says the Hillsboro School Board quickly took action to fill Cotton’s position.

The Hillsboro School Board also passed on first reading a change in scheduling of school board meetings.  Dryburgh says instead of meeting on the second Thursday of each month, the Board will now meet on the third Tuesday of each month….with the start time still at 7:30am.  While that new policy won’t become official until a second reading, the Board voted to schedule its next regular meeting on Tuesday, August 18 at 7:30am.
