Hillsboro School Board News & Notes from January 11th Meeting
Hillsboro, ND — The Hillsboro School Board held their regular monthly meeting last Wednesday, January 11th. As part of the usual January business, the board approved the annual pledge of assets, records disposal, and reviewed the return to learn plan. They also approved hiring a new 3rd grade teacher and approved starting the process of negotiating new teacher contracts, according to Hillsboro Superintendent Paula Suda.
Under the facility planning report, Superintendent Suda noted that there will be a public meeting this coming Monday, January 23rd in regards to the district vote for increasing their debt limit.
Suda added that they will also be sending out a survey to district voters to gauge some interest and see if they would support a facility project and to what extent.
Also during the administrative reports, the High School and Elementary principals shared some of their needs and their vision for the school moving forward.
The Hillsboro School Board meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month.
