Hillsboro School Board News & Notes from July 14th Meeting
Hillsboro, ND — The Hillsboro School Board held their regular monthly meeting on Thursday morning, July 14th where they took care of the usual beginning of the year business items. Included in that was the rates and fees in which there were a few small changes, according to Hillsboro Superintendent Paula Suda.
The board also approved their preliminary budget for the upcoming year. Superintendent Suda says its hard to judge where it’ll be this far ahead, but overall she anticipates it to be well-balanced.
Under the facilities report, Suda says they got an update on the summer projects and formed a new committee to assist with their long-term capital needs.
And the board last week accepted the resignation of an elementary teacher and cook as well.
The Hillsboro School Board also held their annual reorganizational meeting. Tim Kozojed was appointed Board President and Brooke Duval was appointed Vice President.
