Hillsboro School Board Sets Date for Debt Limit Election
Hillsboro, ND — The Hillsboro School Board held their regular monthly meeting on Thursday morning, December 8th. At the meeting, the board set a date of March 28th for their upcoming election to increase their debt limit. Hillsboro Superintendent Paula Suda says this isn’t a bond vote, but it is necessary for this vote to be approved if they are to move forward with a facility referendum.
The Hillsboro School Board also approved the 2023-24 School Calendar. Superintendent Suda says they gathered input from students, families, and staff to come up with their recommendations.
Under the Activities Director report, Dave Nelson updated the board on the recent approval of a new three-class system for basketball. Suda says she has some concerns about the new system.
The Hillsboro School Board also approved the resignation of Assistant football coach Zach Hinkle and approved a teaching contract with Amber Buzsick as a long-term substitute.
