Homeowners and renters encouraged to test homes for Radon 

Winter has arrived, and Norman-Mahnomen Public Health is reminding people about the increased dangers of Radon during the winter months. Kelsey Merkens of Norman Mahnomen Public Health explains what Radon is, and the harm it can cause. 

Merkens says the best thing you can do to protect yourself from radon exposure is to test your home for it every couple of years. 

Merkens also explains what you should do if your home tests come back positive for high levels of radon.
