Hydration is key this summer
School is out for the summer, which means that you will be seeing more kids outside taking advantage of the warm summer weather. While this is always encouraged, Kelsey Merkens of Norman Mahnomen Public Health is reminding parents to make sure their kids stay hydrated.
Children aren’t the only ones who need to stay hydrated this summer, and Merkens also shares some reminders that all adults should keep in mind.
If you are starting to feel the effects of dehydration and heat exhaustion Merkens says it’s important to act fast, get indoors, and get to a doctor if conditions don’t improve.
