Ice Cats 14U Split Vs Bemidji

For Summer Fast Pitch Softball, the Ice Cats 14U team played at home against the Bemidji Blaze. In game one, Bemidji defeated the Ice Cats 7-1 thanks in part to four runs in the first inning. Payton Grashorn took the loss, giving up seven runs on four hits, striking out six and walking seven. Gretta Larson and Mara Buller each collected one hit.

In game two, the Ice Cats took the game in dramatic fashion, with a 6-5 walk-off victory over Bemidji Blaze. The game was tied at five in the bottom of the fifth when Bristol Berglund drew a walk, scoring one run. Gretta Larson earned the win surrendering five hits and five runs over five innings, striking out six and walking five. Mara Buller provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led with two runs batted in as the infielder went 1-for-2 on the day. Gretta Larson, McKynlee Skrien, and Mara Buller each collected one hit.
