International Sugarbeet Institute Returns to Alerus Center March 16th & 17th

Grand Fork, ND — The largest exhibit of sugarbeet equipment and related products and services returns to the Red River Valley next week! It’s the International Sugar Beet Institute and its scheduled for Wednesday, March 16th from 9am to 5pm and Thursday, March 17th from 9am to 3pm at the Alerus Center in Grand Forks, ND. The annual event, which rotates between Fargo and Grand Forks, will feature national agricultural leaders, legislators, and sugar specialist as well as an arena filled with the latest and greatest in sugar beet equipment.

Each day will also feature keynote addresses from Luther Markwart, executive vice president of the American Sugarbeet Growers Association, and Dr. Rob Johansson, Director of the economics and policy analysis for the American Sugar Allicance.

Mohamed Khan, NDSU and UMN Sugarbeet Extension Specialist, says those two speakers offer excellent insight into what’s happening in the sugarbeet industry.

Doors open each day at 9am and Khan encourages sugarbeet to come early for breakfast and stick around all day to fill up on knowledge as well.

Last year’s show was not held due to the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the ISBI website, around 4,000 people are expected to attend.
